September Favorites.

Beauty, Home, Lifestyle

I’m not at all surprised we’re in October already, every month flies by faster than the last. It’s Autumn and soon we’ll be entering the holiday season and saying goodbye to 2020, God willing.

There are only a few favorites I have for the month of September, nevertheless, I’m sharing them.

Starting with a book because I just finished this one today-

+Midnight Sun

This book exceeded all my expectations all while taking me back to another time in life. I loved reading through Edward’s perspective and getting to know his emotions and thoughts behind his actions. If you’re a Twilight fan I definitely recommend you checking this one out. I’ve been #TeamEdward since the beginning of time, what about you?

+Shell Lipstick by Lauren Conrad Beauty

Lauren Conrad’s newest beauty line is absolutely beautiful. Ethically clean and perfect for the everyday minimalistic woman looking to embrace her natural beauty. I look forward to trying a few of her other products sometime in the near future. This lipstick has already become a favorite of mine in such a short period of time.

+Plain Tees

Plain Tees are my go to these days. They are so easy to style and they provide great comfort.

Find my favorite here: Casual Tees

+Hearth & Hand Dinnerware

I’ve really been enjoying our dinnerware now that we’ve finally completed our collection. I love how minimal and stunning these ceramic plates and bowls are.

Get them here: Hearth & Hand Dinnerware

+Procreate / Apple Pencil

Over the last couple of months I’ve been exploring calligraphy & illustration on the app Procreate, and I love it. It’s such a great app & tool that help you develop illustration skills (+more) with practice overtime. If you’re looking to find a calming hobby to pick up and something like this interests you, this is your sign to try it out.

+Sister Sister

I’m not one to binge watch a lot of tv anymore, but how could I not when one of the shows I grew up loving as a child is finally on Netflix? SO good. Its funny, it’s family oriented, and simply nostalgic. “Go Home Roger!”

Watch it on Netflix.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all about my September favorites, what were some of yours? May October treat you kind and may the Autumn breeze and crisp air bring you the familiar coziness you missed and love.

August Favorites (Home + More)

Beauty, Home, Lifestyle, Spirit & Soul

Can you believe there’s only 3 months left in 2020? I can’t wrap my head around it just yet, but hey, I am definitely here for having better days ahead.

I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites that made life a little sweeter the month of August, things I’ve loved for the home & things I’ve loved using on a day to day basis. I already have a few favs lined up for the month of September, but I’ll save those for a later post.

House Slippers

Currently living in these slippers, I had to get me a backup pair because I love them that much. They’re so cozy and soft AND only $15! You can find the link to them here: Slippers

French Press

I look forward to my coffee routine every morning since learning how to use a French Press. If you don’t have a French Press yet (or anything to make authentic coffee at home), I strongly encourage you to get one. There is something so special about taking the time to make coffee from scratch, and the coffee is honestly so much better.

Find links to my French Press & Coffee essentials here: Coffee At Home

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer

My husband gifted me a stand mixer for my birthday this summer, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used it already. I know a lot of us have discovered a love for baking during this season in our lives, and I can really say I enjoy it and even find it therapeutic. It is an investment well worth it if you love to bake!

Casaluna Bedding

I’m sure that by now you’ve heard of Target’s new bedding line Casaluna, and I was able to get my hands on the comforter I had my eye on when it first launched. It is linen and neutral and just about everything I was looking for in a comforter. Loving all of their neutral and cozy bedding.

Dream Big by Bob Goff

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book! I mentioned it in my last blog post, and although it’s taking me quite some time to finish it (insert friendly reminder that I’m one busy mom here), it has been very inspirational to read. If you’re looking for something to motivate you to start and chase your dreams, you can’t go wrong with this book!

New Morning Mercies by Paul Tripp

I love starting my mornings with this devotional book. Paul Tripp has a way to break down the word beautifully in every page. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a devotional book.

Bethel Music Revival ‘s In The Air

I can’t believe I am just now listening to Bethel Music, but I’ve really been enjoying listening to their latest album. They have many great worship songs to chose from, but my current favorite is Champion. God of Revival is also pretty great!

Taylor Swift Folklore Album

I love how different this album is from her latest releases. RED has been my favorite album of hers for years, and Folklore definitely takes runner up. If you haven’t listened to it yet, what are you waiting for? It’s such a good album!

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser

Really loving this cleanser. It smells fresh and very spa-like and is very lightweight and gentle on the skin.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

The older I get, the more I love a soft natural look and the less I wear on my skin. This is a sheer, natural & dewy skin-like tinted moisturizer, and that’s what I love about it. Less really is more.

Tinted Moisturizer here: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

Sunday Riley’s Auto Correct Brightening And Depuffing Eye Cream

If you’ve been with me a while then you know I’ve been through my fair share of eye creams. This is the latest I’ve tried and it truly is the most effective one. It is quite pricey for an eye cream, but after 4 kids I needed to make the investment myself. If you’re looking for effective under eye results, look no further.

Face Mask

Loving this reusable silk mask from this one boutique I found through Instagram. Very well made and super cute.

That concludes my favorites for the month of August! I know we’re a week into September already, but I really wanted to share all that I enjoyed last month. I’m hoping to share more favorites in the future! What were some of your favorites last month? I’d love to know (:

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead!

Current Favorite Skincare Products

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite beauty skincare products I have been loving lately! I find these products essential in my skincare routine, I had to share here on the blog.

Summer Fridays R+R Mask

I shared this mask after the first couple of tries after receiving it in the mail, and I’m still using it constantly throughout my week. Loving the scent, the glow from within look, and how silky my skin feels after each use.

The Ordinary -Hyaluronic Acid

I recently branched out in trying this brand, and I am so impressed with how well this product works and how incredibly affordable their stuff is! I love applying this serum along with another right after toning my face. This serum applies so nicely and slides smoothly on the skin while giving my skin the hydration that it needs. I’ve yet to try any of their other products, but I sure won’t hesitate to branch out whenever I’m in need of adding another product to my regimen. Definitely recommend checking The Ordinary out, their products are extremely affordable and they also have great reviews online!

Olehenriksen Banana Eye Creme

Absolutely looove this eye creme! So hydrating and moisturizing for the under eyes. It helps with de-puffing, and even though my dark circles aren’t completely gone, they’ve never looked better. This eye creme is definitely a staple in my skincare regimen!

Fresh- Sugar Lip Treatment

I got this lip treatment as a birthday gift from Sephora last year, and wow. So good! I love how soft, moisturizing, soothing, and healthy my lips look and feel after applying this lip treatment. I love wearing it on a daily basis, especially on my no makeup-makeup days, it gives just the perfect amount of color to the lips, and it’s quite long-lasting.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder

I have to give a quick shoutout to this brow powder and include it in this post even though it’s not really a skincare product. I go back between the ABH Brow Wiz, and a couple weeks ago I ran out and I went back to the brow powder duo. I’ve always preferred the powder over any pencil as it gives a more natural look to the brows. I use the color Medium Brown, and I’m obsessed!

And that concludes my most current favorites, I hope you enjoyed! Leave any of your current favorites in the comment section if you have any you’d like to share, I’d love to hear all about them (:

Summer Fridays’ Review

Hey all! Today I’m sharing some of my few favorite skincare products from Summer Fridays I happen to use often throughout my week. 3 different products that I love for different reasons.

If you’re not familiar with the brand (Summer Fridays), they’re a new beauty care brand who’s quickly rising their way up to the top. They started with their awesome Jet Lag Face Mask, and after hearing so much hype about it over the internet, I decided to give it a go. I love using this mask in the morning to give my skin the boost & plump it needs to wake up. I apply my daily-use toner to cleanse my skin from overnight, and then I go in with the mask next. I leave it on for a couple hours as I make my bed, feed my children, etc. until I finally rinse it off in the shower. I’ve also heard other influencers mention they love to use this mask as a moisturizer prior to applying their makeup, and also love wearing overnight. I appreciate its many different wears, my favorite just happens to be used as a skin plumper in the mornings.

Their second product, Overtime Mask, was launched some time around Fall, I believe. I love to use this mask in the shower, I exfoliate my skin & leave it on for approximately 10-15 mins before rinsing off. You can proceed with applying the Jet Lag Face Mask right after, but I do have a skincare regimen I follow, so feel free to follow whatever works best for you. I mentioned this mask in my Holiday Gift Guide, and I’ll mention its pumpkin scent once again, A-mazing! I love that this mask works as a great exfoliator and mask in one. I use it regularly as a part of my skincare regimen (3 times a week or so).

And lastly, their most recent product, R+R Mask. The perfect mask for this upcoming Spring that has the loveliest scent. I’ve used it a few times since it came in the mail, and this mask leaves my skin feeling so soft and radiant after using! Mask is suggested to cleanse off with a damp wash cloth, allowing you to pat its residue oils into the skin. It truly gives you that glow you’re looking for, especially during these cold winter days.

Summer Fridays has become one of my favorite skincare brands, and I’m excited to see all that they have in store for any future launches. If you’ve yet to try one of their products and you’re on the fence about whether the hype is real or not, I hope this quick review sums it up for you!

What are some of your favorite skincare regimen products? I’d love to know!

Talk to you all soon!

Beauty Summer Essentials

Hello and welcome back friends! If you don’t follow me on Instagram, I announced that I’ve set a schedule where I’ll be bring a new post to the blog every Wednesday at 11:00am, and I’m very excited to stick to a schedule that will allow me to follow a routine! Today, I’ll be sharing my current beauty favorites I’m loving this summer!

Starting with skincare:

I recently picked up Summer Friday’s Jetlag Mask – and although I don’t have any jet lag, I am a mom of 3, so I guess that’s kind of the same thing, right?

Anyway, I’ve been using it everyday since it came in, and I love using this in the morning after toning my face to help wake me up, & plump my skin. I love how fresh it feels once applied, and I also love the feel of rinsing it off. You don’t necessarily have to rinse it off (you can wipe it off with a tissue or damp cloth), but I do so when applying the rest of my skincare routine.

After rinsing the Jetlag Mask, I proceed with my usual face oil & moisturizer, and with Belief’s Moisturizing Eye Bomb I received in my last Ipsy bag. Eye Cream is essential to moisturize the under eyes, and I’m loving what these products have been doing to my skin altogether. I hardly ever add any new skincare products to my routine, but I am now more open to branching out.

Continuing with beauty products . .

This year I’ve definitely jumped on the more “natural” band wagon, and after seeing great reviews on Erborian’s CC Creme, I decided to give it a try.

I’m loving this CC Creme on my no makeup- makeup days, especially in this triple digit weather. Something really cool about this CC Creme is that it comes out in a white moisturizing cream form, but once blending it to the skin it transforms & blends with your skin complexion. I like applying this best with my hands, and I bring in the Beauty Blender later when it comes to concealer.

For concealer, I’ve really been loving NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer lately. I’ve used Tarte’s Shape Tape for years, and I finally decided to give something else a chance & I love the more natural finish NARS gives. Again, obsessed with anything natural right now, as I’m truly trying to embrace the skin I’m in.

If I had to choose 2 products that were a must for me, Im almost 100% sure I’d pick concealer and a brow product. Right now I’m using ABH Brow Wiz, and I go back and forth between this and her Brow Powder.

As for blush, I recently started to use a creme blush on the days I use cc creme, and I am OBSESSED. Honest’s Truly Exciting Creme Blush is my jam right now, it is such a pretty rosy color, and it brings the perfect amount of color to the cheeks! I love applying this with my Beauty Blender.

I also like going in with Jouer’s Adore Blush Duo to set the creme blush. I use the color on the right, and it finishes off the cheeks with a beautiful sheen!

Last but not least, Bobbi Brown’s lipstick collaboration with Sazan -Sazan’s Nude! It’s your perfect every-day wear color! I reach for this more than any other lipstick right now, especially when I’m going for a natural look.

(I couldn’t find her lipstick anywhere, but I found a similar color: here)

And that concludes my current favorites guys! What are some of your must-haves this summer? If you couldn’t already tell, I’m loving everything that gives a soft & natural finish! (Okay, I’ve seriously said “natural” one too many times now, but whatevs).

The older I get, the more I start to notice a difference in my skin. I still love a full face of glam 1 or 2 days out of the week, but realistically speaking, I don’t have the time nor do I want to walk around the house (or the grocery store) with a full beat face. Most days I enjoy looking like me, just a slightly better version.

I hope y’all enjoyed this post, and if you end picking up and trying something I mentioned here, please let me know! Wishing you all a Happy Fourth of July week!

See ya next Wednesday!
